01Overview
Volumetric filling (fill to a fixed volume) drifts whenever product density changes — temperature, viscosity, batch variation. Weight-based filling doses to an actual target weight regardless of density, which is what most trade and regulatory filling requirements actually specify in the first place — a declared net weight on a container is a mass claim, not a volume claim, and a volumetric fill line is only as accurate as the assumption that density never changes.

Operators or volumetric systems often run slightly over target to avoid underfill complaints, which adds up to real product cost at volume. Accurate weight-based dosing lets a line run closer to the declared target without that margin.
