01Overview

Where a process needs several raw materials combined in precise proportion before mixing — concrete, chemicals, animal feed, packaged food — weight-based batching gives repeatable recipes and a batch record for traceability, in a way volumetric dosing can't match. Volume is a proxy for the quantity that actually matters (mass), and the relationship between the two drifts with temperature, compaction, moisture content, and particle size — none of which affect a weight reading. A batching system built on load cells removes that proxy step entirely and doses to the actual target quantity.
